TBT #4: Supsri
Some of the drawings I did back in the day were very fantastical. A whole series within a series was of characters I drew to represent things like the elements, different mythological deities, and (like this one) abstract concepts such as emotions.
Can you guess what emotion Supsri was supposed to represent from her super-creative name? Yeah, she was the embodiment of surprise. Does she looked surprised even? I don't know.
For my redraw I realized that her dress reminded me of outfits I have seen in pictures from Carnival. I therefore redrew her to reflect her new Brazilian heritage. Unfortunately, she looks even less surprised in the second drawing- maybe scared instead?
